This shopfront was on one of our favourite local projects.  The premises had lain derelict for years until we overhauled it recently.  It now sits proudly on the canal corner in Athy, restored to its former glory.

This is the new shopfront we designed and built for the famous Paris Texas bar in Kilkenny city.  It perfectly merges old and new.

Heart & Crown Irish Pubs, Ottawa, Canada, a genuine traditional Irish pub design and fitout.   Done in Mahogany to get that cozy traditional vibe.

Traditionally Irish pubs are dark, atmospheric and cozy.  We brought this Ottawa pub to life by referencing historic Irish pubs here in Ireland. 

Heart & Crown Irish Pubs Ottawa, Canada has a strong Irish community so they expect a genuine Irish experience, build, and hospitality at The Aulde Dubliner.  The mahogany gives a rich, traditional finish in a modern building.

The pub is located in a modern building so the shopfront entrance was particularly important to give a traditional Irish ambience at The Aulde Dubliner.

The pub is a focal point in the city of Ottawa for the Irish community and Canadians alike.  The traditional design and fitout complements the modern building it is located in perfectly.

The windows and window screens are branded to give an instant identity to the premises.  It was important to not lose its existing clientele.

Zest shopfront joinery for Zest traditional food market and cafe has a name for being vibrant, fresh and clean so the fitout had to reflect that.

Zest cafe staff are full of enthusiasm and energy and so it was important that this is reflected in the fitout. 

The fitout was designed and manufactured to be light, airy, and inviting, a reflection of the brand.

The cafe shelving is done in oak, with a sliding ladder.  This gives a traditional grocery store look whilst also allowing for ease of reach to products.

The communal wooden benches are quite deliberately placed to encourage friends and strangers come together to chat, unwind and linger for a while.

The food counter and shelving reflect the enthusiasm and energy the team brings to the brand.

The shopfront design includes a traditional dental moulding feature.   This design is a very traditional shopfront style.

The shop counter was manufactured with mahogany to reflect a victorian shop.  This was matched with a painted counter front as a nod to the old advertisments of the day. The fitout here was very detailed.  We also made a mahogany brown paper gift wrapper and ribbon holders. 

The centre piece in the shop is a solid mahogany, customised counter with built in, invisible, storage.  This allows for hidden storage, keeping the victorian shop fitout illusion.

The Little Acorns shop counter painted paneling reflects advertising designs of the victorian era.  This is an area of interest and adds an extra dimension to the experience for the consumer.

A closeup of the customised solid mahogany storage centre piece.  This was a centre piece to the whole shop and mirrored the room dimensions.  

The shop counter top matches the branding and traditional barber colours.

The mirror frames have an unusual surround with photos inserted.  The fitout suits the famous tourist spot in Kilkenny with a nod to the historical past of the area.  It has since been described by an American tourist as ‘a very classy, old school spot’.

The mahogany fitout is complemented by the red marble counter tops and gold coloured fittings.  The barbers is now the oldest victorian styled barbers in the city and has become a tourist spot in its own right.
