What We Do

Teamwoodcraft is primarily an Architectural Joinery firm. This means that we offer or render services in connection with the design and manufacture of the joinery aspect of building interiors and exteriors, and the space within the site surrounding the buildings, that have as their principal purpose human connectivity and interaction.  Our team members have undergone the practical, technical, and academic requirements to ensure that our clients get the best of our expertise in their experience of our service and product.  We are a Business to Business model but we do accept private commissions and project of all sizes.  You can check out the time lapse footage of a 10 week renovation, condensed into 1 minute.  The project in the video below was the Courthouse Lurgan.

What differentiates us

Teamwoodcraft is a consultative company, laser focused on customer relationships and the commissions usually involve several sessions with our clients and teams to ensure we understand our clients needs and desires fully. Once the design, budget and timescale (that meets the needs and desires of our client) is agreed with our team, we then assign a Project Manager to our clients project who remains with the client throughout the experience.  The Project Manager will also provide guidance and help to those clients who have not undergone the process previously.

All of our projects are entirely customised to our clients needs and so every project is a completely unique joinery event, led by our clients needs.  Our cabinet makers work in all schools of design for example styles such as minimalist, tradition, mission, rustic, shaker, American colonial, French provincial, Scandinavian and so on.  Our website shows a mere sample of the quality and style of our work.

How we do it

We guide our clients through a step by step process for their project by working with a team of (nationwide and international) eminent designers. We also work directly with our clients and this element is particularly important for those on a tighter budget. One of our head cabinet makers works personally with our client to ensure that they get a technically well planned, specified and manufactured project to fit their budget.

In conjunction with our client, we advise the appropriate wood for their needs, style of finish, stain or paint effect to be applied, profiles to be adapted, specialist technology to be integrated etc.  We assess any challenging on site areas that require careful technical attention and discuss issues that might affect our clients budget if applicable.  We liaise with other on site firms who need to tie into our products for example any stainless steel units, lighting locations, dishwashers, cookers, grease traps, specialist information technology firms who require integration with our products, any issues which may concern the Fire Officer.  Where necessary we will deal with the relevant Fire Officer to ensure the technical specifications comply with regulations.

Once our client has seen scaled down samples of the wood, finishes, stains or paint effects, our Cabinet making team then takes over the production and this stage involves the practice of using various wood working skills to create the cabinets, bar counters, reception desks etc.  It involves techniques such as creating appropriate joints, chamfers, bevels, technical systems and the use of specialist equipment such as routers etc to create the decorative edging. The fundamental focus of the cabinet maker is the production of cabinetry. Although the cabinet maker may also be required to produce items that would not be recognized as cabinets, the same skills and techniques apply.  For example a cabinet may be free standing or built in.  A built in cabinet (the modern day equivalent being such as a reception desk, bar shelving etc) is custom made for a specific space and fixed into position against the wall, on the floor or framed into an opening.

The next stage involves interaction between the workshop, project manager, client and fitting team so the relationship dynamic is essential in establishing a trust and understanding to ensure our clients understand each process step.  The project management stage involves the disciplines of planning, organizing and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of our clients project goals and objectives whilst carefully adhering to their scope, time and budget.

We pre-assemble all projects in our workshop to ensure we understand the relationship between each module.  This allows greater communication between the workshop, project manager and fitters and avoids costly errors on site.  Our teams will liaise with our client on an ongoing basis to ensure that we work around their time scales.  Where necessary and our clients budget allows we will fit projects at night.

Once the project has been completed our Project Manager meets once again with our client to go through the contract, snag list etc and organise the final sign off.
